003 — Townhouse Renovation
Gut renovation of a two-story Williamsburg townhouse, converted from a two-family to a single-family residence. 2,400 square feet rebuilt across two levels and a finished cellar.
The building's double-fronted party-wall condition demanded careful structural analysis before the plan could open up. The result is a ground floor that flows continuously from front to rear — kitchen, dining, and living as a single resolved space — with a private yard beyond.
The palette is consistent and restrained: poured concrete counters, blackened steel, white oak cabinetry, and plaster walls. Details are clean, junctions deliberate, and nothing is decorative.
