002 — Townhouse Renovation
Gut renovation of a three-story Williamsburg townhouse, converted from a two-family to a single-family residence. 2,700 square feet across three levels, fully rebuilt from structure to finish.
The project reorganized a fragmented floor plan into a coherent sequence of spaces — grounding the building in its street presence while opening the rear to a private garden. Materials were chosen for their tactile weight: raw plaster, wide-plank white oak, and steel details throughout.
A new stair, custom-fabricated in steel with oak treads, becomes the primary spatial event — connecting all three levels and drawing natural light from a skylight above.
